La Matraca Mexican Grill

About

This independent operation brings regional Mexican cooking to Columbus with the kind of care that suggests deep roots in the cuisine—the menu spans beyond the expected tacos to include mole-based dishes, fresh seafood preparations, and regional specialties that rotate with seasonal ingredients and family recipes. The beverage program reaches beyond standard margaritas, likely featuring mezcal and other spirits that reflect Mexico's diverse drinking traditions. You'll find the sort of place where the kitchen treats fundamentos like fresh tortillas and house-made salsas as non-negotiable fundamentals rather than afterthoughts.
